Now that Iraq has been liberated the schools can re-open. Some young children have never had the chance to attend school. The new government cannot provide the schools with all the books or supplies. This is where you can help. Collect school supplies and ship them to Soldiers stationed in Iraq. The Soldiers and Chaplains will deliver the supplies. Some items most needed are: Tablets Crayons Kleenex Pencils Construction Paper Handy-wipes Plain paper Glue Hard candy Pens Children’s scissors Note Books The YELLOW RIBBON GIRLS have made yellow bows and lapel pins since March, 2003 sharing them with all who are interested in showing support for the troops. All donations are used to purchase supplies or pay for postage. Postage rates vary from $10.00 to $20.00 a box. Donations are greatly needed. We can ship items with our monthly boxes or provide your group with the information to ship directly. Several Soldiers currently stationed near Mosul and Baghdad volunteered to distribute school supplies to local schools. Thanks in advance for your help.
